Thomas A. Wolfe

                Thomas Arthur Wolfe, age 73, a long time Park Rapids area resident, peacefully passed into eternity on Friday evening, October 19^th, 2018 at the Fargo Veterans Administration Hospital with his son, TJ and other loved ones at his side.

                Tom was born on September 14, 1945 in Goshen, Indiana to James and Evelyn (Korth) Wolfe.  He attended public school in Indiana, graduating from the Elkhart High School with the Class of 1963.  In April of 1964, Tom entered the United States Army where he proudly served his country as a member of the Company C 91^st Engineering Battalion in Viet Nam until his honorable discharge in April of 1967.  He then returned to Elkhart until moving to Park Rapids, MN in the 1970’s.  On December 24, 1981, Tom was united in marriage to Vicki Lilly in Park Rapids. They were blessed with two sons: TJ and John.  Tom enjoyed working with his hands repairing and building.  He loved to help others.  Tom especially enjoyed being outside fishing or camping with his sons.  He was an avid sportsman who took great pleasure in following his MN Vikings and MN Twins. College football and many other sports also peaked his interest.  Above all, Tom cherished spending time with his grandchildren who he loved with all his heart.

                Tom is lovingly remembered by his son, TJ (Mia) Wolfe of Blaine, MN; his ex-wife and longtime special friend, Vicki Wolfe of Park Rapids; his six dearly loved grandchildren: Jaxon, Jace, Jamie, Chelsea, Corianne and Caitlyn; his sister, Rose Melander of Nevis, MN and two brothers: James of Michigan and Leslie of Virginia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

                Tom was preceded in death by his son, John in 2014; his parents and a sister, Joann Rassi.

                Memorial services are set for 11 AM Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Jones Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN.  Military honors will be conducted by the Star Of the North Marine Corps League.  The urn bearers will be his son, TJ, his brothers: James and Leslie and his nephew, Jamie.
