SUZETTE AMELIA PARKOS
November 30, 1961 – January 15, 2019
Suzette Amelia Parkos, age 57, of Fargo, ND formerly of Park Rapids, MN passed away unexpectedly at her residence in Fargo of natural causes on January 15, 2019.
Suzette was born on November 30, 1961 to Melvin and Ann (Glatzmaier) Parkos in Park Rapids. She attended public school in Park Rapids where she was active in band, choir, gymnastics, and served as a cheerleader. She graduated Park Rapids Area High School in 1980. Suzette then went on to attend St. Scholastica College in Duluth for 2 years before enlisting in the US Airforce. She completed her basic training at the Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas and served her country as an airman in Alaska. Following her honorable discharge, she completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the North Dakota State University in Fargo. Suzette then worked as a registered nurse primarily in home health care in a career that spanned over 30 years. She loved to travel throughout the United States. Suzette loved her family and enjoyed coming home on the holidays to spend time with her mother, Bob and her siblings.
Suzette will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Ann (Robert) Wagner of Park Rapids, MN; three sisters: Sherry Lewis of Bountiful, Utah, Melanie (Chad) Buscho of Squamish, WA and Angela (Tom) Rice of Bellingham, WA; and her brother Steven Parkos of Park Rapids, MN; as well as numerous precious nieces and nephews.
Suzette was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Parkos and two brothers: Duane and Martin.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 26, 2019 at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church with Father Thomas Friedl officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the services at the church. Military honors will be provided by Star Of The North Marine Corp League under the command of Mr. David Free.
