Robert "Bob" William Wagner

Robert William “Bob” Wagner, age 86 of Park Rapids, MN, passed from this life to eternal life on Friday, July 1, 2022 at CHI St. Joseph’s Health in Park Rapids.

Bob was born on November 26, 1935 to Bernie and Irene Wagner in Park Rapids.  He attended country school near his parent’s farm.  After he completed school, he helped on the family farm.  In the early 1950’s, Bob began a life- long career in construction building dams in South Dakota.  In 1964, he moved to Colorado and began working in the construction of water diversion tunnels.  On November 19, 1988 Bob married Ann Margaret Wagner and the couple enjoyed 33 wonderful years together until her death in 2021.  For many years Bob attended St. John’s Lutheran Church in Park Rapids.  He loved the outdoors; especially when he could be out hunting or fishing.

Bob is lovingly remembered by his three sons: David Wagner of Basalt, CO, Danny Lee of Pierre, South Dakota and Terry Wagner of Hartford, South Dakota; his daughter, Stormy Wagner of Pierre, South Dakota; two grandchildren: Mackenzie and Zoei;  and his sister, Lois of Park Rapids; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann and tragically one son, Tim.

 Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, July 7,2022 at St. Johns Lutheran Church with Rev James Neubauer and Rev. Joel Newton officiating. The interment will be in the St Peter Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service time on thursday at the church.
