Richard John Holm passed away at the age 88, on July 15, 2022, in Nevis MN, while at their summer home at the lake. Dick was born in La Salle IL., attended St. Bede Catholic School, followed by the local community college where he studied geology. He later joined the army and was stationed in Texas. It was there that he learned about computers and began his career as a computer operator. Soon after, Dick leveraged his gift as a great story-teller and used his social ability to begin a life-long career in sales and marketing with companies including Sperry Univac and Control Data. Within his career, he traveled extensively to Washington DC and Europe, and acquired a passion for travel. Along with his wife Audra, they enjoyed traveling throughout their retirement to Europe and Mexico. Dick also had a passion for outdoor activities such as fishing, camping (RV), and bird watching, which he managed to pass onto his children and grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his parents Charles Alfred (Al) and Barbara Holm, LaSalle IL; brother Charles (Chuck) Holm, Elmer City, WA; and son David Holm, De Soto, WI. He is survived by his wife, Audra (Healy) Holm, Savage MN; children: Karen (Phillip) Osborne, Lynn (David) Blagg, and D’Anne Devlin. Stepchildren, Anne, David, and Tom. Grandchildren: Kimberly, Andrea, and Shelly Osborne; Danielle (Craig) Lebel; Austin Holm; Matthew Devlin; and Kirsten and Eryn Blagg, as well as many friends and loved ones. The family will greet friends at Dick and Audra’s home on Saturday July 23, between the hours of 1-3PM, 14425 Edgewood Ave, Savage MN.
