Patricia Ellen Fischer

Patricia Ellen Fischer, age 67 of Menahga, MN peacefully entered Heaven on Monday, January 22, 2024 with her daughter at her side. Patricia was born on December 19, 1956, in Shelter, Connecticut to Frederich and Arline (Kekacs) Dauscher. She graduated from Seymour High School with the Class of 1974. She enlisted in the Air Force in 1975 where she served honorably until her discharge on December 19, 1978. Patricia was united in marriage to Dale Fischer on December 21, 1977. They made their home in Ohio where Patricia devoted herself to making a loving home for her husband and two daughters. Later they moved to Minnesota where they enjoyed the beauty of northern Minnesota. In about 2012, she began battling dementia in her life which she dealt with until the time of her death. She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Jennifer (Cory) Miller of Park Rapids and Lesley (Ron) Yliniemi of Menahga; eight dearly loved grandchildren and two precious great grandchildren. She grew up in a family with two sisters and three brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, January 26, 2024 at the Cardini- Pearson Funeral Home in Menahga with the Reverend Timothy Schmeisser officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. The Heartland Detachment #473 under the command of David Free will provide full military honors. Interment will be made at the Fort Ripley State Veterans Cemetery at 11 AM on Monday January 29.
