Michael Alan Palodichuk

Michael Alan Palodichuk. Age 53 of Park Rapids, MN, unexpectedly passed from this life to eternal life at his home on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Michael was born on November 13, 1967 in Vancouver, Washington. He attended Vancouver Public Schools, graduating from high school with the Class of 1985. He then went on to attend Vocational-Technical College. Michael moved to the Park Rapids area in 1988. He was united in marriage to Misty Lynn Jacobson on February 8, 1991 in Park Rapids. They were blessed with two daughters: Katrina and Jessica and a son, Jacob. For many years, Michael worked as a nursing assistant first for the Heritage Living Center and then for the Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga. He loved the outdoors; especially, when he could be teaching his children all his successful fishing techniques or following a variety of his favorite sports teams with his family. He loved to golf with his soulmate, best friend and wife, Misty. He lived for his family and deeply cherished their priority to spend time together. His life was forever changed and saddened by the death of his precious young wife, who died of cancer at the age of 46. Michael is now seeing the reality of what he has seen through his faith and is again together with his eternal soulmate, Misty in the splendor of Heaven. He will be lovingly remembered by his three children: Katrina (Tyler Thompson) Palodichuk, Jessica Palodichuk and Jacob Palodichuk all of Park Rapids; his four precious grandchildren: Xavier, Adrian, Ambrielle and Noah; his mother-in-law, Beverly Jacobson of Park Rapids and his dear friend, Shelly Holmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Misty and his father-in-law, Ron Jacobson. A celebration of Michael’s life is being planned by family to be held at a later date.
