Lucille Marilyn (Sherry) Erickson January 27, 1931 – December 31, 2019 Lucille Marilyn Erickson, age 88, a longtime Menahga, MN area resident, unexpectedly but peacefully passed away on December 31, 2019 while visiting her son, Scott and his family for the holidays in Fargo, North Dakota. Lucille was born in Readstown, Wisconsin on January 27, 1931 to Gerhard and Mable (Swiggum) Sherry. She was baptized and confirmed and graduated from public school in Readstown. Lucille was united in marriage to Kenneth Orlie Erickson at her home church and they were blessed with two sons: Lon and Scott. Lucille loved being a wife and mother and devoted herself to making a happy home for her family. She enjoyed baking and giving baked goods to friends and neighbors. In addition to caring for her family, Lucille also worked at the Menahga Clinic for many years as a receptionist. She was a long-time and faithful member of the First English Lutheran Church in Menahga where she participated in Bible studies, the Lady Quilters, the kitchen crew, and freely gave of her time for many church activities. Her heart was deeply saddened at the death of her beloved husband, Kenneth in 2001. Above all, Lucille loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart and treasured the time she could spend with them. She is survived by sons: Lon (Mary) and Scott; grandchildren: Christina (Christian) Gunnerud, Elizabeth (Justin) Gese, Alicia (Casey) Mack, and Nicholas Erickson; and great-grandchildren: Nathaniel and Logan Gunnerud; sisters: Margaret Larson and Louise (John) Sime; sister-in-law, Annette (Irling) Sherry; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth; parents: Gerhard and Mabel Sherry; brothers: Adrian and Irling Sherry; and sisters: Kathleen Ranallo and Esther Aspenson.
