Linda Aline Franich, age 75, of Park Rapids, MN, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Diamond Willow Nursing Home in Park Rapids, MN, with her family by her side.
Linda was born on July 18, 1949, in Seattle, WA, to the late Milton and Lorraine (Ayers) Smotherman. She grew up in Seattle, WA, where she graduated from Highline High School. After graduating she worked as a nurse’s aide until moving to Miles City, MT. While living in Miles City she worked at Holy Rosary hospital serving food in the cafeteria. She then made her final move to Park Rapids, MN, where she worked for Antlers café until they closed. She then went to Great Northern and continued working until she retired.
Linda loved spending time reading, being outside, and telling endless stories to whomever would listen. She was known for her contagious smile and spunky attitude that was hard not to love. She was a proud grandmother who loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. No matter what she was going through in life, she would pause her’s to be there for anyone. If I asked what her greatest accomplishment in life was, it would be her daughter and grandchildren. The light that shined so brightly in her will be forever missed by many.
Linda is survived by her children: Lisa (Zach) Folken, Donald (Sherri) Andreoff, and Brenda Andreoff; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren with one on the way; sisters: Anette, Earlene and Marla.
She is preceded in death by her siblings: Carol and Dean.
