Lawrence Thomas Henderson

Lawrence Thomas Henderson, 71, of Lester Prairie, MN passed away on August 8, 2022 in Silver Lake, MN after a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Lawrence was born in Park Rapids, MN to Viona and Joseph Henderson on October 13, 1950. He went to school in Park Rapids. He worked as a Service Engineer for George Fischer for 30 years. He also worked as an auto mechanic for many years prior to working at George Fischer. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Army. Lawrence is preceded in death by his father, Joseph, his mother, Viona and his half sister, Caroline. Lawrence is survived by his sister, Jeanette Shute, two nieces, Charlene (Ken) Rolli and their children; Gunnar, Becklan and Myka, and Cherilyn (Todd) Johnson and their children; Alex and Nate; son, Joseph Henderson, son, Michael Dunn and daughter Elizabeth Staska, and by 11 grandchildrens; Jacob, Matt,Austin, Joey,Mckayla, Teagan, Keylee, Alexis, Oliver, Brooklyn, Jayden, and 1 great grandson, Jaxton. Memorials may be given to Elizabeth Staska; 2308 Shadywood Rd, Wayzata, MN 55391. The family of Henderson/Staska/Dunn wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Rabineau and the nurses at Frauenshuh Cancer Center, Allina Home Hospice care team in Hutchinson, MN. Visitation will be at from 1-2 PM Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home, 608 Park Ave S, Park Rapids, MN 56470. Burial will immediately follow at Henrietta Cemetery. After the burial, there will be a gathering at Viona’ place in Park Rapids for refreshments and snacks.
