Laural Ann Frohman

Laural Ann Frohman, 65, Nevis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2023 surrounded by her family. Laural was born on May 29, 1958 to Israel (Harry) and Sally (Hamblin) Phillips of Walker, Minnesota. While growing up in Walker, she participated in Girl Scouts and loved taking care of her two horses: Joker and Fairy. Laural lived in the Walker area up until 1977 when she moved to California. She returned a few years later and worked as a waitress, and a matron at the Cass County Jail. While living in Akeley, Minnesota, she became involved with the running of the Food Share program for the Akeley area community. She also worked as a school bus driver for people with disabilities and special needs kids in Nevis. She also did custodial work. She moved to Graham, Washington in 2010 to help take care of her mother until 2012. She returned to the local area and continued her caregiving for the elderly and disabled adults. She wanted them to be able to remain in their homes as long as possible. Laural continued this occupation up until the last few months of her life. Laural enjoyed camping with her family and fishing in the many lakes around the area. Laural is survived by her two sons, Michael (Tanya) Phillips of Walker, Minnesota, Jerry White of Nevis, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Vanessa Phillips, Desiree Phillips, and Aiden Phillips of Walker, Minnesota, Stephanie White and Rex White of Oregon; six brothers, Kenneth (Diann) Phillips of Menahga, Minnesota, Harry (Dawn) Phillips of Tacoma, Washington, Richard (Jeannie) Phillips of Akeley, Minnesota, Terry (Sandy) Phillips of Park Rapids, Minnesota, Gary (Brandy) Phillips of Park Rapids, Minnesota, and William Phillips of Graham, Washington; two sisters, Betty Daniels of Akeley, Minnesota, and Cindy Cogsdell of Akeley, Minnesota; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Laural joins her son, Raymond White, her parents (Israel Harry and Sally), sister (Kathy Dewitt) and many extended family members. Laural's service will be held on December 8, 2023 at the Assemblies of God Church in Park Rapids, Minnesota. Pastor Arthur Wood will be officiating.
