Kathleen Marie "Kathy" Pachel

Kathleen Marie “Kathy” Pachel, age 51, of Park Rapids, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly at her apartment on Saturday evening, March 6, 2021. Kathy was born on August 9, 1969, to John and Bette (Stephens) Pachel of Ponsford at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Park Rapids. She attended grades 1-4 in Osage and then went on to attend Park Rapids Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1987. Kathy was united in marriage to Stephen Weller on August 29, 1987. They were blessed with two sons: Johnathon and Stephen. She lost her husband, Stephen, the love of her life unexpectedly on August 26, 1993. She married Mike Boettcher on December 2, 1995 and was blessed with one son, Jordan. She married Kirk Brock on June 10, 2006 and was blessed with one step-daughter, Kayla. Kathy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She worked at the Park Rapids school for 14 years. Kathy also loved working at Hugo’s and the Great Northern Cafe. She enjoyed helping other people, crafting and giving massages. She loved spending time with her boys, family and grandkids, whom she deeply loved. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her 3 boys: Johnathon (Heidi), Stephen, and Jordan all of Park Rapids and her stepdaughter, Kayla Brock of Park Rapids; 6 grandchildren , Jace, Colton, Leo, Shaelyn, Sylus and Carter; 6 siblings: Pam (Ronnie) Scholz of Boot Lake, Daniel (Kathy) Pachel of Ponsford, Donald Pachel of Osage, Ronald (Ruth) Pachel of Ponsford, Patty of Park Rapids and Linda (Scott) Hogan of Hartford, South Dakota as well as her sister-in-law, Deb Pachel of Park Rapids: 2 aunts; Bonnie Tullgren of San Antonio, Texas, Pauline Pachel of Park Rapids; her uncle; Gary Tigue of Osage, as well as many dearly loved nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Kathy is preceded in death by her first husband, Steve; her parents, her brother Steve as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Friday, March 12th at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home and will continue Saturday beginning at 1 PM. Interment will be made in the Linnell Cemetery next to her husband, Steve, her parents and brother Steve.
