June Rose Nelmark

June Rose Nelmark, 81, of Frazee, peacefully passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Ecumen Emmanuel Nursing Home. June was born June 13, 1937 in Wadena Minnesota, to Eddie and Rosa Maninga. June grew up in the Green Valley Township area and graduated from Menahga High School in 1955. In September of 1956, she was united in marriage to Marvin Nelmark at Spruce Grove Apostolic Lutheran Church in Wolf Lake Minnesota. In the fall of 1957 June and Marvin moved to Chicago. June was devoted to raising her five children and providing them a warm and loving environment. She ensured that all her children were given the opportunity to excel in their lives.   June was always willing to help people she met throughout her life. Her love of helping others evolved into her assisting many families. This in turn, resulted in many lifelong friendships and fond memories. June and Marvin moved back to the Wolf Lake Area in 1991 to retire. They helped their sons, Tad and Tate farm and enjoyed their retirement.  In her quiet time, June devoted herself to family activities and attending to her grandchildren.  She was an active member of the Spruce Grove Apostolic Lutheran Church. June found great joy and achieved personal satisfaction in helping others she met along her path in life. Above all, June devoted her life to her children and grandchildren who she loved unconditionally with all her heart. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Marvin and their children: Taryn (James) Schultz of Gurnee IL, Todd (Julie) of Naperville IL, Troy of Chicago IL, Tad (Julia) and Tate (Maryann) of Frazee MN; 14 grandchildren; Sister, Mildred (Floyd) Weappa, and brothers, Eddie (Ida) and Don (Judy) Maninga; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. June’s family would like to thank all of the staff and caregivers of Sanford Healthcare and Ecumen Emmanuel Nursing Home who have assisted her throughout this journey. Active Pallbearers - June’s Grandsons: Erik, Ethan, Evan, Eliot Schultz, Tate Jr., Samuel, William, Matthew Nelmark. Honorary Pall Bearers – June’s Granddaughters: Hannah, Jordan, Claire, Emily, Natalie, Mary Eleanor Nelmark. Visitation: 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 at Spruce Grove Apostolic Lutheran Church, Wolf Lake MN and on Tuesday March 19, 2019 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Funeral service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 19, 2019 at Spruce Grove Apostolic Church of Wolf Lake MN with Pastor Dennis Hannu officiating. Lunch following Funeral services at the church. Interment:  Will be Green Valley Cemetery.
