Gerald Lee Suhr, 80, of Lake George, MN passed away at home Saturday, March 4, 2023, with his loving wife by his side. Gerald was born July 5, 1942, to Henry and Idella (Davis) Suhr in Fargo, ND. He attended school in Page, ND and started farming while in high school. Following high school he attended Hanson Mechanical Trade School in Fargo, ND for auto body repair and painting, continuing to farm near Page, ND where he also co-owned the Suhr Brothers Ford dealership with his brother Curtis, later becoming a guns and ammo retailer. He continued to farm up until his death. He married Lois Wade in 1962. Following her death in 1999, he met Arla Dannheim and moved to Minnesota. He then married Arla in 2018. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, traveling which included Alaska, Hawaii, and most of the 48 contiguous United States. Most recently Gerald enjoyed watching wildlife from his sunroom in rural Lake George, especially on Sundays with the “Sunroom Gang” which included his wife, Arla, stepdaughter Sheila and her husband Greg Hensel and their children MacKenzie, Ben and Vanessa. Gerald is survived by his wife Arla, stepchildren Sheila (Greg) Hensel and Dennis (Bonnie) Dannheim; brother, Curtis (Esther) Suhr, sister, Karen (Walter) Treitline, sister-in-law, Jonnelle Suhr; four nephews and four nieces; nine step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth, infant brother and first wife Lois. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 24th from 1pm to 3pm at the Page Cafe community room in Page, ND.
