Gerald Paquin

Lt. Col. Gerald C. Paquin "Jerry", USAF (RET) Age 97 1/2 of Park Rapids, MN passed away July 12, 2022, surrounded by family. Born on Jan 8, 1925, to Chester & Mildred (McKellip) Paquin in Minneapolis & grew up in Sauk Centre, MN. He enlisted in 1943 in the US Army Air Corps. On Sept. 15, 1947, he married Carol (Peg) White of Park Rapids, MN. They were married for 54 1/2 years. Jerry was a career US Army Air Corp/US Air Force highly decorated WWII Veteran. He dedicated his life to the service of our country. Throughout his career, his family lived in many countries around the world. He was medically retired in 1970. Jerry & Peg loved to travel & traveled extensively throughout the world until her passing in 2002. After she passed, Jerry enjoyed a quiet life in Park Rapids. He spent the last 3 years in convalescence with his daughter & grandchildren in Chesapeake, Va. He is survived by his daughters, Terrie (John) Daninger and Lisa Bridgers, 7 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, 14 Great-Great Grandchildren & his sister Margaret Berryhill and extended family. Jerry was proceeded in death by his parents, sister Dorothy, wife Peg, & grandson Bob.
