Gary Lee Miller

Gary Miller, 72, of Lake Alice, MN passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 25. Gary was born on January 17, 1951, in Park Rapids and raised in Lake Alice along with his brothers Dick and Jon and sisters Betty, Carol, and Mildred.

He married Karen Kroshus shortly after high school and they had 3 sons together before divorcing – Neil, Kevin, and Jason. Gary started to work at Itasca State Park in the early 80s and worked there until his retirement. Gary enjoyed coffee, visiting with friends and family, trips to the casino, and horses.

He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Florence Miller, brothers Dick Miller and Jon Miller, and sister Mildred Hooker.

He is survived by sisters: Betty Hooker and Carol Buckingham; Partner: Jeff King; Children: Neil (Stacey) Miller, Kevin (Amy) Miller, and Jason Miller; Grandchildren: Taylor Miller, Charlee Miller, Jack Miller, Zac Miller, Ben Schiller, and Sloan Miller; Sister-in-law Millie Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1-2pm followed by a memorial service at 2pm on Friday, December 1 at Jones Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN.
