Francis Western Crandall

FRANCIS WESTERN CRANDALL July 28, 1937 – July 18, 2020 Francis Western Crandall, age 82, of Quartzsite, Arizona, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020. Francis was born July 28, 1937 to Eddie and Leola (Splittstoeser) Crandall on the home farm of Todd Township in Hubbard County, Minnesota. He grew up in Park Rapids attending country school through the 8th grade and then went on to attend High School in Sebeka, MN graduating with the class of 1957. Francis married Annette Hopkins on June 29th, 1957 and this union was blessed with three children: Scott, Tina, and David. They lived in Roosevelt, MN for 33 years where Francis worked for Marvin Windows until his retirement in 2000. He and Annette moved to Quartzside, Arizona where they have lived for the past 20 years. Francis loved to do woodworking and anything mechanical. Francis will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Annette; 2 children: Scott, and Tina; 4 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Otto (Evelyn) Crandall of Mahnomen, MN, Everett Crandall of Park Rapids, MN, Dano Crandall of Park Rapids, MN, and Fredrick (Elsie) Crandall of Park Rapids, MN; 2 sisters; Louisa Buckley of Menahga, MN, and Lena Martell of Menahga, MN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son David who died on July 17, 1979; brother, Harry; and sister, Ellen.
