Eugene George Eisterhold

Eugene George Eisterhold, age 77, of Lake George formally of Little Fork, Minnesota, passed from this life to eternal life on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Autumn Hills Assisted Living in Bemidji, Minnesota. Eugene George Eisterhold was born on February 10, 1944, to George and Dora (Gubbels) Eisterhold in Osage, Iowa. He attended Adams High School. Following high school he went into the Air Force, later he completed college courses at Normandale Community College. On June 28, 1969, Eugene was united in marriage to Rita Neigebauer. Their marriage was blessed with a son. Together they resided in Minneapolis, Prior Lake, Williams, and Little Fork. Eugene was employed with Control Data and Marvin Windows. Eugene enjoyed fishing, hunting, canning, gardening, woodworking, spending time at the cabin, and watching baseball, football, and hockey. He loved animals-especially his Cairn Terrier, Maggie. Preceding Eugene in death is his wife: Rita; and siblings: Jacob, Marie, Ambrose, Francis, and Rita. Eugene is survived by his son: Joseph & daughter in-law Jamie Eisterhold (O’Connor); many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be dearly missed. We would like to thank the staff at Autumn Hills and Sanford hospice for the care provided in the last weeks of Gene’s life. Visitation will be held for Eugene Eisterhold on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Jones Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, Minnesota. Prayer service beginning at 6:00 p.m.. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at St Theodore Catholic Church in LaPorte, Minnesota. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at St. Theodore Cemetery, Laporte, Minnesota.
