Deborah Elaine Strong

Deborah Elaine Strong, age 68 of Moorhead, MN went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 16, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23rd at Maranatha Free Lutheran Church in Glyndon.

Deborah Elaine (Rader) Strong, the daughter of Leo and Eunice Rader, was born October 26, 1954, in Park Rapids, MN. Deborah grew up with her six sisters on the family farm on the Ponsford Prairie. Deborah graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1972. She then attended Moorhead Vo-Tech and worked at Northern School Supply in Fargo, ND for several years. On June 13,1987 Deborah was united in marriage to Robert Strong. They began their marriage in Omaha, NE and later moved to Anchorage, AK where they welcomed their two children Amanda and Sarah. Shortly after Amanda was born Deborah started her own home daycare and cared for many children throughout her career of over 30 years. In 1994 Deborah moved with her family to Glyndon, MN where she resided for almost thirty years. She then moved to Moorhead, MN after retiring from Daycare in 2022.

Deborah enjoyed the simple things in life and loved spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with friends at bible study and local church groups. She loved to cruise through the woods on her four-wheeler and enjoyed snuggling and spoiling her cat, Sully.

Deborah left an impression on everyone she met and was a treasure to everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her joyful smile and laughter, her sense of humor, her peacefulness, her desire to help and care for others, and her deep faith and trust in the Lord throughout all of life's circumstances.

She is survived by her daughters, Amanda (Michael) Schuett of Alexandria, MN, and Sarah Strong of Moorhead MN; grandchildren Grace and Luke Schuett; sisters: Linda Rader, Shirley Rader, Pat Anderson, Karen Miska, and Kay Sunram; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Eunice Rader, and her sister Kathleen Pawlicki.
