Curtis Lee Grangruth, age 58, of Wadena, MN, formerly of Menahga, MN, passed from this life on Sunday, June 23, 2019 in Alexandria, Minnesota as a result of his valiant battle against cancer. He was born on May 1, 1961 in Culver City, California to Sulo (Armas) and Shirley Grangruth. Curtis was baptized at an early age. He attended Menahga and Moose Lake Public Schools. Curtis worked as a painter, carpenter, and crafter, throughout his adulthood. He met the love of his life, Patricia Peterson in Nevada. They moved to Wadena, Minnesota and were together until he went to be with the Lord. Curtis loved fishing. He could spend countless hours with his brother, Armas and friends trying to land the world’s record Northern Pike. He also enjoyed feeding his birds and vending at flea markets. Curtis enjoyed the peaceful life of living in a small town and visiting with his many family members. He will be forever remembered by the love of his life, Patricia Peterson of Wadena, MN; siblings: Darrell(Theresa) Grangruth of Menahga, MN., Jeffrey Grangruth of Sparks, NV., Maria Grangruth of Sparks, NV., Steven Grangruth of Fort Collins, CO., Denise(Mitch) Bruns of Washoe Valley, NV., Armas Grangruth Jr of Menahga, MN., Chris Grangruth of Menahga, MN., and Diane (Darren)Kraabel of Ashburn, VA. ; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Sulo Armas Grangruth, and his mother, Shirley Grangruth. Funeral services are pending and will be published when set.
