BRIDGET INNES JOHNSON
September 26, 1961 – March 22, 2019
Bridget Innes Johnson, age 57, of Park Rapids, MN, formerly of Grand Forks, ND, peacefully entered the splendor of Heaven, following a courageous battle against cancer on March 22, 2019 at the Maui Memorial Medical Center in Wailuku, Hawaii with her husband and daughter at her side. Her life was centered around her husband, Galen and her daughter, Madison.
Bridget lived an active and full life. In addition to being a devoted wife, mother and business owner, Bridget filled her life with baking, playing video games, bowling with Grandpa Verreaux, shopping, traveling with Galen…her favorite destination was Hawaii, having all her grandchildren at the lake and spending hours on her pontoon.
After earning her degree in business, Bridget gained employment with American Woods in Grand Forks, ND where she worked in sales. On September 7, 1996, she was united in marriage to Galen Mark Johnson on Lake Minnetonka. In 2002, they moved to Park Rapids with their young daughter and Bridget started her own sales company, Unlimited Resources.
Bridget will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Galen Johnson and her daughter, Madison, both of Park Rapids; her step-daughters: Melissa (Tim) Fogarty of Park Rapids and Seanna (Scot) Smart of Grand Forks; her six precious grandchildren; her parents: Lowell and Georgia Innes of Grand Forks, ND; her siblings: Kristie (Joel) Harmer of Minneapolis, Todd (Kristi) Innes of Grand Forks and Jason (Amanda) Innes of Montana; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Beth Johnson and both sets of grandparents.
Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 30th at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids with Rev. Justin Fenger officiating. Visitation will begin 10 AM Saturday at the church. Following the service, the Calvary Church family will host a luncheon for all. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer Research, Office of Development, Bridget Johnson Breast Cancer Research Fund, Rochester, MN. 55902.
