Beverly Sue Schrader

Beverly Sue Schrader, age 80, of Lake George, MN went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2022.  Beverly was born on February 8, 1942 in Centralia, IL to Archie and Opal (Case) Bass.  She attended school in LaClede, IL and Rock Falls, IL from where she graduated.  On June 12, 1960, Beverly was united in marriage to the love of her life, Paul Schrader, in rural Lyndon, IL.  They were blessed with five children: John, James, Paula, Jason, and Joshua.  In 1967, they moved with their children to Centralia, MO and later to Tampico, IL where they lived for many years.  In 1978, the family ventured north to the Park Rapids, MN and Lake George area.  Beverly was very active in the Faithbridge Church in Park Rapids where she worked in the nursery, in the kitchen, and in the AWANA children’s program.  Beverly enjoyed sewing and photo-journaling, maintaining a diverse collection of family photos with detailed descriptions of each person and event that was photographed.  After her children were grown, she greatly enjoyed riding with Paul while he worked as a long-haul truck driver.  They saw the country together and shared numerous adventures that most people could only dream of.  Above all, Beverly loved spending time with her family, and treasured her visits whether in person or by phone.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and was cheerful during both struggle and blessing.

Beverly is lovingly remembered by her five children: John (Patricia) Schrader of Lake George, James (Toshia) Schrader of Perry, IA, Paula (Greg) Hovey of Phenix
City, AL, Jason Schrader of Lake George, and Joshua Schrader of Lake George; 13 dearly loved grandchildren; five precious great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Schrader in 2021; her daughter-in-law, Marcy; her grandsons, Noah and Josiah; and by her three brothers and two sisters.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the Faithbridge Church in Park Rapids with Rev. Jeff Lange officiating.  Visitation will directly precede the service and will begin at 10:00 AM, with the family present.  Beverly’s grandchildren will serve as her active and honorary casket bearers.
