Alvina Mary Luepke (Omtvedt) was born on June 30, 1936 in Echo Mn, youngest of a pair of twins born to Gerhold and Louise Luepke. She attended the Echo Public High School where she was the Homecoming Queen in 1953. On July 1, 1955, she married Myron Omtvedt in Belview, MN. They lived in Redwood Falls, Mn., where he worked for Omtvedt Construction. After Myron’s construction accident, she was the sole support for her family working as a Telephone Operator in Redwood Falls, MN. Alvina and Myron moved to Cedar Rapids, IA. where Myron attended the Brown Institute and Alvina concentrated on raising a family. They later moved to Redwood Falls, MN., where they founded and operated Foundation Dry. The couple moved to Vesta, Mn and then Echo Mn, where she worked in the local bank and continued to co-operate Foundation Dry. While in Vesta the family became members of the Triple T Horse Riding Club, Alvina dearly loved her horse, Coco. In 1986, they moved to Lake George, where they owned and operated Ma's Bait Shop. In 2015 she moved to the Landings Assisted Care Home, to be closer to her daughter, Patrice. Alvina was known to her family as a strong, loving wife, mother, and sister. She was a friendly outgoing person, actively involved in Trinity Lutheran Church, Garden club and Birthday Club. She was blessed with many, many good friends. She is survived by her son, Michael (Penny), her sister Violet (Alvhein) and brother Melvin (Kathy) Luepke. She had five grandchildren, ten Great Grandchildren and one Great, Great Grandchild. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Myron, daughter Patrice Penske, brother, Alvin Luepke, Marvin Luepke, sisters June Krause and Linda Cole.
