INTERMENT: Lake Alice Cemetery ROBERT T. CEKALLA March 12, 1930 " January 10, 2009Robert T. Cekalla, age 78, of St. Paul, MN, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Robert was born March 12, 1930 in Lake Itasca, MN to Alex and Marie (Meier) Cekalla. He grew up and attended school in Lake Itasca. As an adult, he made his home in Lake Alice, MN where he worked on the family farm until joining the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge, he moved to St. Paul, MN where he gained employment with a brass foundry. He is survived by his 3 sisters: Maxine Hindberg of Benson, MN, Valeria (Roger) Carlson of Menahga, MN and Dolores Pritchard of Park Rapids; 1 brother, Donald (Marge) Cekalla of Deerwood, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Sylvester and Georgie; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Cekalla. Burial will take place in the Lake Alice Cemetery in Lake Alice, MN in the spring of 2009.
