Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Park Rapids VISITATION: 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Park Rapids SURVIVORS: Beulah will be lovingly missed by her husband, Joe Gain; her daughter, Marliyn Jeanne (Ted) Wilde of Laporte, MN; 2 sons: Keith (Kathy) Pierson of Hibbing, MN and Kenneth (Linda) Pierson of Kelly Lake, MN; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one brother, Ronald "Bud" (Gilda) Parks of Grand Rapids, MN; one sister, Donna Lockwood of Des Moines, IA; and one brother-in-law, Virgil Armbruster of Port Orchard, WA. BEULAH MAY (PARKS) GAIN March 8, 1915 " March 4, 2009Beulah May (Parks) Gain, age 93, of Park Rapids, MN, passed away peacefully at the Heritage Living Center on March 4, 2009. Beulah was born to Dennis and Emma (George) Parks, the 4th of 8 children, on March 8, 1915 in Osage Township, Becker County, Minnesota. She attended the Green Pine Country School north of Osage and went on to attend Park Rapids High School. Beulah was united in marriage to Vernon D. Pierson in 1933. This union was blessed with 5 children: Sharon, Shirley, Marilyn Jeanne, Keith & Kenneth. Beulah devoted herself to making a warm and loving home for her husband and children and made sure they grew up to be good citizens. She will be long remembered for her delicious home-made cooking, home-made breads and cookies. In 1965, she was united in marriage to Joe Gain, who now resides at the Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids. Beulah liked simple sports like baseball and loved to take walks in area parks and picnic with her family. She enjoyed nature, especially awakening to the birds singing. She was a great seamstress; winning many blue ribbons at the county fairs. She was talented in many crafts such as: knitting, crocheting, painting, writing and poetry. She also loved to dress her dolls. Beulah will be lovingly missed by her husband, Joe Gain; her daughter, Marliyn Jeanne (Ted) Wilde of Laporte, MN; 2 sons: Keith (Kathy) Pierson of Hibbing, MN and Kenneth (Linda) Pierson of Kelly Lake, MN; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one brother, Ronald "Bud" (Gilda) Parks of Grand Rapids, MN; one sister, Donna Lockwood of Des Moines, IA; and one brother-in-law, Virgil Armbruster of Port Orchard, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 daughters: Sharon, who died tragically in infancy in 1934 and Shirley Armbruster who died in 2007; one brother, Ivan Parks; and 4 sisters: Evelyn McComas, Inez Condit, Phylis Warren and Floy Hagen. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Park Rapids with Reverend Ken Mayberry officiating. Casketbearers will be her grandchildren: Douglas Wilde, Timothy Wilde, Dale Wilde, Darin Pierson, Shane Pierson, Jason Pierson, Debbie Lokken, Melody Wilde, Tiami Pierson, Samantha Pierson, Marvin Armbruster and Michael Armbruster. Hymns will be: "Near To The Heart of God", "And I Know Whom I Have Believed" and "Oh Wonderful Love". Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Park Rapids. Funeral arrangements provided by the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home serving Park Rapids, MN.
