ALBERTA LECKNER BENTON May 11, 1932 ~ April 9, 2009 Alberta Leckner Benton, age 76 of Park Rapids, MN, Passed away on April 9, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Alberta was born on May 11, 1932 to Ralph and Sarah (Sills) Leckner. She was united in marriage to Mel Benton on April 17, 1954. Alberta will be lovingly remembered by her husband Mel; children: Wayne Pearson, Teri Thompson, Mark (Linda) Benton, Ron Benton, John (LuAnn) Benton; Brothers: Ralph (Jean), Ron (Sherri), and Walt (Kathy) Leckner; Sisters: Ida (Ed) Steidler, Irene (Larry) Hennig, Harriet Beaverlander; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grand children. She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Audrey. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN.
