ANDREAS JOHN BRUNNER May 5, 2009 ~ May 14, 2009 Andreas John Brunner, precious infant son of Ryan Brunner and Rochelle Nelson of Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away peacefully in the arms of his family on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Children"s Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. He was born May 5, 2009 at 2:38 P.M. in Minneapolis, MN, and met the eyes of Jesus 9 short days later on May 14, 2009. Andreas is survived by his parents, Ryan Brunner and Rochelle Nelson of Detroit Lakes, MN and his identical twin brother, Josiah Anthony Brunner; his maternal grandparents, Paul (Janine) Nelson of Park Rapids and Lois Nelson of Detroit Lakes, MN; his paternal grandparents, Marilyn (Richard) Soden of Salina, Kansas; aunts and uncles: Janelle (Chad) Mathison of Park Rapids, Amber (Todd Doll) Nelson of Perham, MN, Jonathan (Misty Smith) Nauber of Park Rapids, Krystal (Grant) Karvonen of Park Rapids, Patricia (Andrew Theiss) Nauber of Bemidji, MN, Sarah Gilster of Thief River Falls, MN and Shelby Soden of Salina, Kansas; 5 cousins: Katriana Knudson, Justine Karvonen, Tayshia Nauber, Jocelyn Mathison and Gabriel Karvonen; maternal great grandparents: Art (Hazel) Skoog of Menahga, MN, Lorenz (Doris) Nelson of Blackduck, MN, and Jane Nelson of Litchfield, MN; paternal great grandparents: Tom (Rose) Brunner of Mahnomen, MN and Marie Straub of Lengby, MN. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Anthony Brunner. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the Runeberg Apostolic Lutheran Church in Menahga, MN with Reverend Art Skoog officiating. Mary Hendrickson will be the organist. Congregational hymns will be "There Are Treasures For Children In Heaven" and "Amazing Grace". A special musical tribute "Down By The River" will be sung by the Nelson family. The graveside hymn will be "Jesus Loves Me". Janelle Mathison will also sing "Angel Band". Casketbearers will be: Jeremy Boll, Grant Karvonen, Todd Doll, Jonathan Nauber, Andrew Theiss and Chad Mathison. A luncheon will be hosted at the church following the service for all to attend. Interment will be made in the Menahga City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the Runeberg Apostolic Lutheran Church in Menahga.
