She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, one brother, Orv Verding (Maryann) and 2 nieces. Kathryn (Kaye) (Verding) Hertzog May 18, 1934 ~ May 16, 2009 Kathryn (Kaye) (Verding) Hertzog, 74, was born in Aldrich, MN on May 18, 1934. Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and sister, passed away May 16, 2009 in San Juan Capistrano, CA. Kaye was a long time resident of Minneapolis, and moved to Park Rapids, MN in 1987 with her husband Edward J. Hertzog to retire. Eleven years after the death of her husband, Kaye moved to San Juan Capistrano, CA in October of 2009 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Unfortunately, her time in California was too short, but she did have time to work on her tan! She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed, and brother, Roger Verding. She is survived by 4 children, Valerie Willis (Cliff), Butch Hertzog, Barb Campion (Dan), Larry Hertzog (Kathleen). She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, one brother, Orv Verding (Maryann) and 2 nieces. She will be remembered as the funny lady who didn"t have a clue how funny she was. We will all miss her dearly! Memorial services will be held in California on May 30, 2009 at McCormick & Sons Mortuary, in Laguna Hills. Catholic funeral services will be held at St. Peter"s Catholic Church in Park Rapids, MN on June 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with lunch immediately following in the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Heartland Animal Shelter in memory of Kaye Hertzog.
