Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in St. Paul, MN with Father Clay officiating.VISITATION : One hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday, June 2, 2009.INTERMENT : Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, MNSURVIVORS :Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Edward (Helen) Plisek; brother-in-law, Donald Moren Sr.; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ernest, and three sisters Dorothy, Delores and Helen. MARJORIE "MARGIE" ANNA CHAPMAN May 23, 1921 ~ May 26, 2009 Marjorie "Margie" Chapman, age 88 of Menahga, MN formerly of St. Paul, MN passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga, MN. Margie was born on May 23, 1921 to Frank and Anna (Henzdorf) Plisek in St. Paul, MN. She attended school near her home in St. Paul. On December 13, 1943 Margie was united in marriage to Ernest J. Chapman in Iowa City Iowa. The couple made their home in Iowa for a time before making their permanent home in St. Paul. Margie worked for several large families in St. Paul as a house keeper and nanny for a number of years. Later she gained employment with The Fisher Nut Company as a machine operator. She remained with Fisher Nut until her retirement. In the mid 1990"s Margie moved to Menominee WI. Then in 2002 she moved to Greenwood Connections in Menahga, MN to be closer to family. Margie enjoyed playing bingo and participating in the activities at the nursing home. She loved to go fishing with her family and attending fish fries and other gatherings where she could spend time with her nieces and nephews. She attended St Stanislaus Catholic church in St. Paul, MN Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Edward (Helen) Plisek; brother-in-law, Donald Moren Sr.; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ernest, and three sisters Dorothy, Delores and Helen. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in St. Paul, MN with Father John Clay officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church. The organist will be Margaret Sanchez. The St. Stanislaus Choir will sing: "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art." Active Casketbearers will be Margie"s family and friends. Interment will be made at the Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights, MN at 1:30 P.M. Funeral arrangements were made with the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids
