Pastor Steve Bruer was the officiate.INTERMENT : Menahga City Cemetery.SURVIVORS : He is survived by his wife, Gloriann, of 52 years; children, Brian of Prudhoe Bay, AK; Sandy (Al) Zimmerman of Fargo, ND; Kevin (Brenda) of Park Rapids, MN; Dori (Dave) Bunnell of Cowley, WY; Jayme (Brenda) of Menahga, MN; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Jim (Rose) of Ewen, MI; sister, Judy (Pete) Berg of Ewen, MI; and many nieces and nephews. GERALD "JERRY" ARTHUR LARSON February 1, 1935 " July 15, 2009 Gerald "Jerry" Arthur Larson, 74, died Wednesday July 15, 2009 at his home in Menahga, MN after a 3 ½ year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born February 1, 1935 in Bruce Crossing, MI. the son of Karl and Aili Larson. He grew up and attended school in Michigan. He was united in marriage to Gloriann Samuelson on July 13, 1957 in Duluth, MN. Jerry served in the US Coast Guard from 1955-1959. He worked at Superwood Corporation in Superior, WI for 4 years while residing in Duluth, MN with his family. The family moved to the Ewen/Bruce Crossing, MI area in 1969 where Jerry began logging. In 1980 the family moved to Williston, ND where Jerry worked in the oilfield for the next 3 years. In 1983 Jerry and family moved to Moorhead, MN where they resided and he drove truck for the next 5 years. In 1988 Jerry and Gloriann moved to Menahga, MN where Jerry continued to drive truck until retirement. Jerry enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Gloriann, of 52 years; children, Brian of Prudhoe Bay, AK; Sandy (Al) Zimmerman of Fargo, ND; Kevin (Brenda) of Park Rapids, MN; Dori (Dave) Bunnell of Cowley, WY; Jayme (Brenda) of Menahga, MN; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Jim (Rose) of Ewen, MI; sister, Judy (Pete) Berg of Ewen, MI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Doris. Memorial service was held at First English Lutheran in Menahga on July, 19 at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Steve Bruer was the officiate. Barbara Ahl, organist. Luncheon served by the women of First English Lutheran. Honorary Casket bearers: Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Interment: Menahga City Cemetery.
