He is also survived by his four children, Peter (Missy) Hutchinson MN; Melanie (Randy), Fort Wayne IN; Ellen (Marcus), Lakeville MN; and Michael (Chris), Greenfield MN, and seven grandchildren. He is further survived by his three sisters, one brother, other relatives and many friends. ARLIN STOLTENOW August 16, 1942 ~ August 8, 2009 Stoltenow, Arlin, age 66, of Park Rapids, MN, passed away August 8, 2009 after a difficult battle with cancer. He will be remembered for his love of family and friends, residential construction, and a good bargain. He was born on August 16, 1942 to Benjamin and Alma on a farm outside Great Bend, ND. He was the fifth of six children. In 1960, he graduated from Hopkins High School in Hopkins, MN. He then attended Dunwoody Business Institute to study drafting. As a young man, he worked in construction with his father and two brothers. He later owned his own general contracting company and worked as a certified building and septic inspector. After 25 years of living on farm outside Lester Prairie, MN with wife Nancy and four children, he relocated to Park Rapids, MN in 1995. Following an amicable divorce, Arlin married Lois Ash on August 21, 1999 and remained in Park Rapids where he continued to provide construction and inspection services. He is survived by Lois; her son Aaron, Park Rapids MN; and stepchildren, Shane, Jennifer, and Cole, St. Cloud MN, and two stepgrandchildren. He is also survived by his four children, Peter (Missy) Hutchinson MN; Melanie (Randy), Fort Wayne IN; Ellen (Marcus), Lakeville MN; and Michael (Chris), Greenfield MN, and seven grandchildren. He is further survived by his three sisters, one brother, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his eldest brother. A memorial service presided by Lakeside Christian Church will be held Saturday, August 15 at 3 pm at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN.
