JOANNE KRAFT December 14, 1930 ~ August 21-2009 JoAnne Kraft, age 78 of Princeton, MN passed away peacefully at her home on August 21, 2009 with her loving family by her side. She was born December 14, 1930 to Patrick and Loretta (Waters) McMonigal. She grew up in St. Paul, MN. She was the youngest of three children. She graduated from Washington High school in 1949. In 1948, she met the love of her life, Alfred Kraft. They were married February 3, 1951 at St. Patrick"s church in St. Paul. Together they had nine children. They resided in St. Paul and belonged to Blessed Sacrament Parish where the children were enrolled in school. In December 1973, they moved to rural Princeton. JoAnne was a homemaker and daycare provider until 1975 when she became employed at the Princeton Elim Care and Rehab center. She retired in 1995 after 20 years of service. After retiring, it gave her more time to focus on her family and others. She enjoyed being involved with all of her family. JoAnne had many interests. She loved traveling with her family through the United States. She loved throwing parties, including her infamous St. Patrick"s Day Parties. She enjoyed watching the Twins baseball games. She was very involved in her grandchildren"s activities, including concerts, plays, and grandparent"s days. She was famous for her homemade jellies and apple bars. She was a member of St. Edward"s Catholic Church for 36 years, where she was involved in St. Adeline"s Mission group and helped at numerous funerals. She had many other activities, too numerous to mention. JoAnne always loved good music, good dance, a good story, a good joke, and a good potluck. JoAnne is survived by her husband, Alfred, children: Lori (Joe) Leis, Steve (Diane), Carol (Dave) Snow, Greg (Carol), Ronnie (Kathy), Mitzi (Dorn) Thompson, Donnie (Wendy), Dannie (Nicole) and daughter in-law Vonnie (Kraft) Bolle, 28 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and a special girl that they consider their granddaughter, sister, Mary Skarda and brother, Pat (Minnie) McMonigal. She is preceded in death by her parents and eldest son Gary. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Princeton, MN with Father Kevin Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8:00 P.M. Monday, August 24, 2009 at St. Edwards Catholic Church and for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Pianist will be Maureen Putnam. Soloist will be Diane Kraft. Pallbearers will be JoAnne"s sons and grandson: Steve Kraft, Greg Kraft, Ronnie Kraft, Donnie Kraft, Dannie Kraft, and Gary Kraft Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be her daughters: Lori Leis, Carol Snow, and Mitzi Thompson. Interment will be made in the St. Edwards Catholic Cemetery in Princeton, MN.
