FUNERAL SERVICES :Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Cardini-Pearson Funeral Home in Menahga, MN with Pastors Don Salo and Hubert Maninga officiating.VISITATION : 5-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the Cardini-Pearson Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on WednesdaySURVIVORS :Glen is survived by his wife, Hazel; five children: Betty Tatro of Menahga, Mary Pauna of Menahga, Howard (Trudy) Maninga of Ponsford, Hubert (Pamela) Maninga of Beach City , Ohio, Lorraine (Howard) Johnson of Princeton, MN; 18 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters; a host of distant relatives and friends and brothers and sisters in faith. GLEN ELMO CAMP August 10, 1928 ~ October 10, 2009 Glen Elmo Camp, age 81 a long time Menahga area resident, entered heavens gates on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga surrounded by his loved ones. Glen was born on August 10, 1928 to Elmer and Goldie (Thommason) Camp in Little Rock, Arkansas. Glen attended country school through the eighth grade. Following his schooling, Glen enlisted in the United States Air Force on February, 20 1946 in Phoenix, AZ. Glen received a WWII Victory Metal and The Korean Service Metal. He even served with the 8th Tactical Recon Squadron in Japan. Glen was honorably discharged from the Air force on December 18, 1952. He was united in marriage to Hazel Arola Maninga on March 7, 1978 in Menahga. Glen was blessed with Hazel"s children as well and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Glen gained employment as a truck driver and enjoyed his time traveling the highways and sight seeing. Glen and Hazel also traveled throughout the years and enjoyed winter trips to Arizona. He enjoyed listening to country music and watching western movies. Glen is survived by his wife, Hazel; five children: Betty Tatro of Menahga, Mary Pauna of Menahga, Howard (Trudy) Maninga of Ponsford, Hubert (Pamela) Maninga of Beach City , Ohio, Lorraine (Howard) Johnson of Princeton, MN; 18 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters; a host of distant relatives and friends and brothers and sisters in faith. Glen was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Cardini-Pearson Funeral Home in Menahga, MN with Pastors Don Salo and Hubert Maninga officiating. Music will be provided by Mr and Mrs Andrew Tumberg. They will perform "Amazing Grace" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus". The congregational hymn will be "The Old Rugged Cross." Active Casketbearers will be Glen"s grandchildren: Kaven Tatro, Darryl Pauna, Benjamin Maninga, Lance Johnson, Kimberly Janke, and James Johnson. Military honors will be provided by The Star of the North Marine Corp League with Ray Vaadeland playing Taps. Luncheon will be held at the Menahga Senior Center following the service.
