FUNERAL SERVICES :will be held at St. John"s Lutheran Church in Park Rapids at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 19, 2010 with Reverend James Neubauer officiating.VISITATION :Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.INTERMENT :Interment will be made at Greenwood Cemetery in Park Rapids.SURVIVORS :Richard is survived by his sister, Carol (Haberer) Hall; sister-in-law, Anna Marie (DiNicola) Haberer; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, also a special friend, Mary Rittenhouse. RICHARD F. "DICK" HABERER March 28, 1934 ~ March 9, 2010 Richard Frederick "Dick" Haberer passed away at his home on March 9, 2010. Richard was born in Park Rapids, Minnesota on March 28, 1934 to Benjamin and Gertrude Elaine (Tucker) Haberer. Richard graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1952. He attended Bemidji State University for four years, graduating with a B. S. degree in business. Richard taught in Twin Valley for 38 years. He took a year off and obtained his Masters Degree from North Dakota University. Richard was a lifetime member of Education Minnesota Association. He was also an active member of the Twin Valley Lions. Richard was an avid photographer at school events. Every year he gave a scholarship to a senior majoring in business. Richard was a faithful member of St. John"s Lutheran Church in Park Rapids. He donated a scholarship to a graduating Park Rapids senior. Richard was an avid sports fan and also enjoyed the fine arts. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Gertrude (Tucker) Haberer; brother, Robert; brother-in-law, Robert Hall; also uncles, aunts and cousins. Richard is survived by his sister, Carol (Haberer) Hall; sister-in-law, Anna Marie (DiNicola) Haberer; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, also a special friend, Mary Rittenhouse. Funeral services will be held at St. John"s Lutheran Church in Park Rapids at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 19, 2010 with Reverend James Neubauer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be made at Greenwood Cemetery in Park Rapids. Memorials appreciated to St. John"s Lutheran Church in Park Rapids or Norman County Education Dollars for Scholars.
