FUNERAL SERVICES : will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 2, 2010 at Sebeka United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Koehne officiating.VISITATION : will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.INTERMENT : will be made at Evergreen Cemetery, Sebeka, MN.SURVIVORS :Steve is survived by his wife Elaine of Sebeka; daughter, Wanda (Gary) Carlson, Pine River, MN; three grandsons: Logan, Owen and Garrett Carlson of Pine River; stepson, Tony Allen Wright and grandson Thomas Allen Steven Snook, both of Lino Lakes, MN; four brothers: Donald (Juanita) Zumbrunnen of Henderson, NV; Larry Zumbrunnen of Coon Rapids, MN; Milton (Kris) Zumbrunnen of Buffalo, MN and Stanley (Louise) Zumbrunnen of Big Lake, MN; three sisters: Cindy (Zumbrunnen) Wright of Buffalo, MN; Kathy (Zumbrunnen) Banken, Sebeka, MN and Roger and Wendy (Zumbrunnen) Hoplin of Joplin, MO; 21 nieces and nephews and 39 great- nieces and nephews, along with numerous family and friends. He will be missed by all. DWIGHT STEVEN ZUMBRUNNEN September 16, 1954 ~ June 26, 2010 Dwight Steven Zumbrunnen, age 55 of Sebeka, MN died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at his home east of Sebeka. Dwight was born September 16, 1954 in Brainerd, MN to Robert and Wanda (King) Zumbrunnen formerly of Swanburg, MN. After completing his schooling, he served in the United States Army for a short time and was honorably discharged. He was married to Ravinia Glover on May 14, 1977 and to this union one daughter, Wanda Jean Zumbrunnen, was born. On September 9, 1983, Dwight was married to the "love of his life", Elaine M. Wright Snook, in Noel, McDonald County, Missouri. This union blessed him with two step-children, a son, Tony Allen Wright and a daughter, Tonya Marie Snook. Steve, as he was known to family and friends, has been a resident of Sebeka for the past 25 years where he has had his upholstery business for just a few months. He enjoyed working on vehicles, refinishing wood items and remodeling homes. Steve was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed being in demolition derbies, hunting, fishing, logging, carpentry and enjoyed visiting with friends and family whenever time allowed. Steve is survived by his wife Elaine of Sebeka; daughter, Wanda (Gary) Carlson, Pine River, MN; three grandsons: Logan, Owen and Garrett Carlson of Pine River; stepson, Tony Allen Wright and grandson Thomas Allen Steven Snook, both of Lino Lakes, MN; four brothers: Donald (Juanita) Zumbrunnen of Henderson, NV; Larry Zumbrunnen of Coon Rapids, MN; Milton (Kris) Zumbrunnen of Buffalo, MN and Stanley (Louise) Zumbrunnen of Big Lake, MN; three sisters: Cindy (Zumbrunnen) Wright of Buffalo, MN; Kathy (Zumbrunnen) Banken, Sebeka, MN and Roger and Wendy (Zumbrunnen) Hoplin of Joplin, MO; 21 nieces and nephews and 39 great- nieces and nephews, along with numerous family and friends. He will be missed by all. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Wanda Zumbrunnen and his stepdaughter, Tonya Marie Snook. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 2, 2010 at Sebeka United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Koehne officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Organist will be Jayne Koskiniemi. Active casket bearers are Jeremy Banken, Jerome Banken, Faith Sage, Nickolas Zumbrunnen, Robert Wright and Tiffany Van Hofwegen. Honorary casket bearers will be family and friends. Berg-Nylund American Legion Post #456 of Sebeka, MN will provide military honors. Interment will be made at Evergreen Cemetery, Sebeka, MN.
