FUNERAL SERVICES : will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 12, 2010 at Assembly of God Church in Park Rapids, MN with Reverend Art Wood officiating.VISITATION : will be held from 5 - 8:00 P.M., Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church.INTERMENT : will be made at Lake Emma Cemetery near Park Rapids, MN.SURVIVORS : Patty will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John; her children: Tim and wife Julie Englund of Park Rapids, MN, Tammalin Englund of LaCrosse, WI and Tyler and wife Bernie Englund of Park Rapids, Tanja (Zentz) Hagan of Park Rapids; Kathy (Zentz) Courtney, Pamela (Zentz) and husband Bill Kabboord all of Satellite Beach, FL; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. PATRICIA MYRTLE ZENTZNovember 20, 1936 ~ July 7, 2010 Patricia Myrtle Zentz, age 73, a lifetime Park Rapids area resident, was promoted into Glory on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga, MN with her loved ones by her side following a period of declining health. Patty was born on November 20, 1936 in Park Rapids, MN to Bert and Myrtle (Carney) Sanderson. It was in the Emmaville, MN area that she attended school in a one room country school and grew through her girlhood years. She went on to attend high school in Park Rapids where she graduated with the class of 1955. Patty married Harold Englund at a young age and was blessed with 3 children: Tim, Tammalin and Tyler. As a young woman, Patty ventured to Minneapolis where she attended modeling school and studied dance. She taught dance for over 35 years in studios and colleges throughout the United States. On April 6, 1977, Patty was united in marriage to H. John Zentz in Melbourne, FL and this marriage was blessed with one daughter, Tanja. Patty sang professionally for many years and sang at the Carousel Restaurant at the Radisson Hotel in Minneapolis, Dinner Theater in Walker, The Hopkins House and The Union Station in Bemidji. She owned and operated Patricia"s School of Dance in Park Rapids for over 15 years. Her talents did not end with music; she made, sold and repaired dolls for many years. She owned three doll stores at one time and was featured on Channel 5 News for her skill at repairing dolls. Patty was also an excellent photographer, painter and sculptor. She had a strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and enjoyed regular worship. Patty also taught Sunday School and Release Time Classes for many years. She loved being with her friends, children and animals. Above all, Patty devoted her life to her husband, John, her children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved with all her heart. Patty will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John; her children: Tim and wife Julie Englund of Park Rapids, MN, Tammalin Englund of LaCrosse, WI and Tyler and wife Bernie Englund of Park Rapids, Tanja (Zentz) Hagan of Park Rapids; Kathy (Zentz) Courtney, Pamela (Zentz) and husband Bill Kabboord all of Satellite Beach, FL; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Bertrand Sanderson; 2 sisters: Betty Schultz and June Dickerson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 12, 2010 at Assembly of God Church in Park Rapids, MN with Reverend Art Wood officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8:00 P.M., Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Active casket bearers are Patty"s grandsons: Jeramiha Englund, Joshua Englund, Ben Englund, Alex Ziemann, Kalvin Hagan, Remington Hagan, Isaac Hagan, Nathaniel Anderson and nephews: Jarrett Sanderson and Rick LaPointe. Honorary casket bearers will be: Derrick Sanderson and Mike Opsal. Interment will be made at Lake Emma Cemetery near Park Rapids, MN.
