FUNERAL SERVICES : Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 30, 2010 at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids with Father Thomas Friedl officiating.VISITATION : 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the church.INTERMENT : 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Church of the Epiphany Catholic Cemetery in Coon Rapids, MN.SURVIVORS : His wife for the past 63 years, Dolores; 2 daughters: Connette Bahe of White Bear Lake, MN and Janet Bahe of Isanti, MN; 2 sons: Ronald (Kristi) Bahe of Coon Rapids, MN and Gerry (Ruth) Bahe of Annandale, MN; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Conrad (Mariette) Bahe of Coon Rapids, MN and Aaron (Inday) Bahe of Anoka, MN as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. NORMAN NORBERT BAHENovember 9, 1924 - July 27, 2010 Norman Norbert Bahe, age 85, of Menahga, MN, formerly of Coon Rapids, MN, peacefully passed into Eternal Life on Tuesday evening, July 27, 2010 at the St. Josephs Medical Center in Brainerd, MN following a period of declining health. Norman was born on November 9, 1924 in Waite Park, MN to Otto and Alexandrine (Dunoguier) Bahe. He attended public schools in St. Cloud where he went on to attend Tech High School. As a young man, Norman enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he proudly served his country in the Pacific Theatre of WWII. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the St. Cloud area where he met and married Dolores Marie Linn on November 29, 1947. This union was blessed with five children. He was employed by the Ford Motor Company in a career that spanned 38 years. In 1987, they retired to their country home east of Menahga, MN. He enjoyed caring for his home and large yard where he fed the deer, birds and other wildlife that graced their property. He was a member of the St. Peters Catholic Church in Park Rapids, MN and the Guy L. McDermeit VFW Post 6216 in Menahga, MN. Above all, Norman devoted his life to his wife and family who he loved with all his heart. He will be lovingly remembered by his precious wife for the past 63 years, Dolores; 2 daughters: Connette Bahe of White Bear Lake, MN and Janet Bahe of Isanti, MN; 2 sons: Ronald (Kristi) Bahe of Coon Rapids, MN and Gerry (Ruth) Bahe of Annandale, MN; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Conrad (Mariette) Bahe of Coon Rapids, MN and Aaron (Inday) Bahe of Anoka, MN as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Norman was preceded in death by his daughter, Lou Ann Sandoz in 1986, his parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1PM Friday, July 30, 2010 at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids with Father Thomas Friedl officiating. Visitation will begin 11:30 AM at the church on Friday. Active casketbearers will be grandsons and nephew: Richard Bahe, Michael Bahe, Erik Sandoz, Kyle Bahe, Andy Thiele and Aaron Bahe, Jr. The honorary casketbearers will be grandsons and granddaughters: Nathan Bahe, Aaron Jorgensen, Jen Bahe, Karen Borup, Kathleen Fischer, Shana Thiele, Cheyenne Randolph and Katie Jorgensen. Following the service a luncheon will be hosted by the church for all to attend. Interment will be held 11:30 AM Saturday July 31, 2010 at the Church of the Epiphany Catholic Cemetery in Coon Rapids. Military honors will be conducted by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 39 of Anoka.
