Harry) Wagner of Cheboygan, MI and Mary (David) Charles of Inver Grove Heights, MN; her three beloved grandchildren: Trevor Ogden, Peyton Wagner and Desirae Wagner; 8 great grandchildren: Kailee and Nicholas Ogden, Skyler, Bradon, Dakota, Eli, Maura and Mikaela Wagner; her sister, Mary Larsen of Park Rapids and three sisters-in-law: Donna Wilcox of Park Rapids, Mary Jane Schiller of Wadena and Margaret "Peggy" Steenerson of Hoyt Lakes, MN. LaDONNA ANNA OGDENMarch 26, 1917 " March 4, 2011 LaDonna Anna Ogden, age 93, a life long Park Rapids area resident, peacefully passed into eternity on Friday, March 4, 2011 at the St. Joseph"s Hospital in Park Rapids. LaDonna was born on March 26, 1917 in Park Rapids, MN to Sidney and Anna (Diebel) Wilcox. She attended public school in Park Rapids, graduating in 1935 from the Park Rapids High School. On April 12, 1942, LaDonna was united in marriage to F. Dwaine Ogden in Reno, Nevada. This union was blessed with three children: Dwaine "Butch", Katherine and Mary. While Dwaine was deployed in the Pacific theatre of WWII, LaDonna made her home in Long Beach, CA where their son, Dwaine was born. In August of 1945, they returned to Park Rapids where LaDonna devoted herself to making a warm and loving home for her husband and three small children. In March of 1951, Dwaine reenlisted in the United States Navy where he was assigned to the Pentagon in Washington DC where the family made their home until his honorable discharge in June of 1955. They then returned to Park Rapids where LaDonna found great fulfillment in caring for her family and serving the Lord. LaDonna was a woman of deep faith and enjoyed attending Faith Baptist Church where she enjoyed studying God"s word, worship and fellowship. She was an excellent seamstress who loved to sew all her daughters" clothes. LaDonna also enjoyed knitting many gifts for family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and baker who will be long remembered for her many homemade dishes. LaDonna will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Dwaine "Butch" (Becky) Ogden of Bemidji, Kathy (Rev. Harry) Wagner of Cheboygan, MI and Mary (David) Charles of Inver Grove Heights, MN; her three beloved grandchildren: Trevor Ogden, Peyton Wagner and Desirae Wagner; 8 great grandchildren: Kailee and Nicholas Ogden, Skyler, Bradon, Dakota, Eli, Maura and Mikaela Wagner; her sister, Mary Larsen of Park Rapids and three sisters-in-law: Donna Wilcox of Park Rapids, Mary Jane Schiller of Wadena and Margaret "Peggy" Steenerson of Hoyt Lakes, MN; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001 and two brothers: Grant and Russell. Funeral services will be held l PM Monday at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids with Reverend Marty Giese officiating. The pianist will be her great granddaughter Kailee Ogden. The vocalists will be Bill and Jan Lundsten who will sing, "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" and "Because He Lives". The congregational hymns will be: "Softly and Tenderly" and "How Great Thou Art". The casket bearers will be: Trevor Ogden, Peyton Wagner, Nicholas Ogden, Dwaine "Butch" Ogden, Harry "Budd" Wagner and David Charles. The honorary casket bearers will be: Chuck and Judy Fuller. Interment will be in the Ogden family plot next to her husband in the Greenwood Cemetery of Park Rapids. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to the Park Rapids All Veterans Memorial or the Guiding Eyes For The Blind Organization. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Heritage Manor and St. Joseph"s Hospital.
