FUNERAL SERVICES : 1:00 Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Mount Calvary Full Gospel Fellowship in Ponsford, MN with Pastor Pat Olson officiating.VISITATION : One hour prior to service at the church on TuesdayINTERMENT : Snellman Cemetery, Snellman, MNSURVIVORS : His special friend, Gayle Lindbom of Snellman, MN; 6 children: Nancy Collins of Hampton, VA, Cheryl Tracy of North Carolina, Dennis Auge of Cold Creek, CO, Susan (Mike) Johnson of Linwood, MN, Phillip Auge of Sacramento, CA and Mary (Derrald) Anderson of Park Rapids, MN; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Marian "Toots" Valento of Vadnais Heights, MN and Delores Gleason of Arkansas. HENRY GEORGE AUGEMARCH 8, 1927 ~ AUGUST 5, 2011 Henry George Auge, age 84 of Wolf Lake, MN passed away on August 5, 2011 at St. Mary"s Regional Health Center in Detroit Lakes, MN. Henry was born on March 8, 1927 to Cyrille "Eugene" and Mary (Weidel) Auge in St. Paul, MN. He attended the District #31 school in Roseville, MN. As a teenager, Henry worked harvesting ice for the People"s Ice Company in Shoreview, MN. At the age of 17, Henry went to work for the Schmidt"s Brewery. At age 18, he was drafted into the United States Army where he proudly served his country in the Pacific Theatre of WWII. In December of 1946, he received his honorable discharge and returned to St. Paul where he resumed his career with the Schmidt Brewery. In August of 1952, he began working with Hamm"s Brewery in a career that spanned 16 years. Following this, Henry worked for the Federal Cartridge Corporation in New Brighton, MN for a short time. Henry worked for Dick and Mary"s Bar and also at Beavers" Lounge in St. Paul. In 1984, Henry moved to the Park Rapids area where he bartended part-time at Mr. Ed"s. Henry enjoyed making wine. He fished the area lakes. He was an avid gardener who each spring looked forward to planting a large vegetable garden which he would nurture into fruitful abundance to share with his family and friends. He also enjoyed doing needle point. He was a member of the Guy L. McDermeit VFW Post in Menahga, MN. He also loved his dog Rusty who was his faithful companion. In his younger days, Henry was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast. He will be lovingly remembered by his special friend, Gayle Lindbom of Snellman, MN; 6 children: Nancy Collins of Hampton, VA, Cheryl Tracy of North Carolina, Dennis Auge of Cold Creek, CO, Susan (Mike) Johnson of Linwood, MN, Phillip Auge of Sacramento, CA and Mary (Derrald) Anderson of Park Rapids, MN; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Marian "Toots" Valento of Vadnais Heights, MN and Delores Gleason of Arkansas as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Henry was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons: Jimmy and Henry; granddaughter, Shawna; grandson, Sean; 4 brothers: Eugene, Robert, Joseph and Richard and 1 sister, Charlotte Everts. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Mount Calvary Full Gospel Fellowship in Ponsford, MN with Pastor Pat Olson officiating. The soloist will be Pat Moran singing "The Old Rugged Cross", "How Great Thou Art" and "You"ll Always Be a Child in His Eyes". Honorary casketbearers will be his daughters, sons, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Inurnment will be held in the Snellman Cemetery in Snellman, MN.
