FUNERAL SERVICES : 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 21, 2011 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids, MN with Father Thomas Friedl officiating. VISITATION : 5-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN and for one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday.INTERMENT : St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Cemetery, Park Rapids, MNSURVIVORS : His son, Dustin; his 7 brothers: Lyle (Rose) of Two Harbors, Paul (Kathy) of Zim, John (Patty) of Park Rapids, Harold (Janine) of Eden Valley, Duane of Chisholm, Leo (Kay) of Starbuck and Mark (Donna) of Litchfield; 2 sisters: Veronica (Mike) Schultz-Bondzin of Wadena and Rosella (Terry) Gullick of Foley. WALTER MARK SHEPERSKYMay 27, 1954 ~ October 16, 2011 Walter Shepersky, age 57 of Park Rapids, MN passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids, MN. Walter Mark Shepersky was born May 27, 1954 to Agaton and Rose (Decker) Shepersky in Park Rapids, MN. He grew up and attended school in Osage and Park Rapids, graduating with the Class of 1973. In the fall of 1973, he attended the Detroit Lakes Vocational School, taking up welding. After his graduation in 1974, Walter moved to Zim, MN and went to work at the EVTAC mine. Walter continued working at the mine until he was involved in a car/train accident on September 6, 1992 in Zim, which left him permanently disabled. On June 13, 1981, Walter married Debra Davis and they had one son, Dustin. Walter loved riding horse and spent time breaking horses for other people. He was born and raised Catholic. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the fire department. Walter will be lovingly remembered by his son, Dustin; his 7 brothers: Lyle (Rose) of Two Harbors, Paul (Kathy) of Zim, John (Patty) of Park Rapids, Harold (Janine) of Eden Valley, Duane of Chisholm, Leo (Kay) of Starbuck and Mark (Donna) of Litchfield; 2 sisters: Veronica (Mike) Schultz-Bondzin of Wadena and Rosella (Terry) Gullick of Foley; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Vincent and Joseph. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 21, 2011 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids, MN with Father Thomas Friedl officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN and for one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday.
