MARY LOUISE ISAKSONDecember 23, 1924 ~ November 28, 2011 Mary Louise Isakson, age 86, a resident of Walker, MN passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011 as the result of an auto accident. Mary Louise was born on December 23, 1924 in Crosby, MN to Frederick and Sadie Mayberry. She attended St. Cloud Teachers College and received a Bachelor of Science degree and went on to teach in Two Harbors, MN. She married Edwin Isakson on June 22, 1947 in Ironton, MN. Edwin and Mary Louise lived in Atwater, Litchfield and St. Cloud, MN. They were active at Calvary Baptist Church and both were educators in the St. Cloud School District. In 1981, Mary Louise and Edwin retired to Walker, MN and became active at Hope Lutheran Church. Mary Louise was an enthusiastic member of the senior community in Walker, working with TRIAD and the Whistle Stop. Mary Louise is survived by her five children: Mary Jane (Delbert) Whitman, Ann (George) Wollenburg, Michael (Jenann) Isakson, Edwin Jr. (Suzanne) Isakson and Sarah "Sally" (Bud) Kading; 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Jane (Ron) Knudtsen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin; grandson, Edwin III and her sister, Violet Thomson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Hope Lutheran Church in Walker, MN with Pastor Harris Hostager officiating. The casketbearers will be her grandsons: Delbert, Jr., Matthew, Nathan, Curtis, Steven, Tom, Tony, John, David and Ben. Visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M. preceding the service. A luncheon and fellowship will be hosted for all to attend following the service. Interment will be held at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.In lieu of flowers, memorial are preferred to Camp Lebanon in Burtram, MN or MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship).
