ZELLA M. MINOROctober 2, 1916 ~ December 18, 2011 Zella M. Minor, age 95 of Osage, MN, entered eternal life with her Lord on December 18, 2011 while sleeping at her current residence at the Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids. Zella was born on October 2, 1916 in Winneconne, WI, the youngest child of Frank F. and Tessie S. (Cooney) Droske. The family moved to Grafton, ND and began to farm. Zella grew up as a child of the plains, full of life and full of smiles. She attended school in Grafton and then went to Maryville State Teacher"s college to earn her degree in Teaching. In Grafton, she met Norman F. Minor who was a surveyor, surveying the road in front of the family farm. He promptly proposed, and took her to Marshalltown, IA and they were wed on June 8, 1940. After the war, they moved to St.Paul, MN where Norman secured a position at the Ford Motor Company. They resided in St. Paul until the early 1970"s. Norman, having family relations in Park Rapids, frequently visited the area and they fell in love with the little village of Osage. The beauty of Straight Lake inspired them and so they built their home on the lake and filled it with happiness and love. Zella and Norman were very active in their church and its various programs as well as the Osage Community and Park Rapids. She is survived by her loving son, Bill (Peggy) Minor of Osage; daughter, Linda Minor; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
