GRAVESIDE SERVICES : 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 2, 2012.INTERMENT : Greenwood Cemetery, Park Rapids, MNSURVIVORS : Her daughter, Jane and son, Bill both of Greeley, Colorado; granddaughter, Sue Groshong of Seattle, WA; brother, Don and two sisters-in-law, Margo and Allene both of Minnesota. LAMAE P. VAEGEMASTMay 3, 1914 ~ September 17, 2012 LaMae Vaegemast, age 98 of Greeley and Redfeather Lakes, Colorado, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Hospice of N.C.M.C.LaMae was born in Park Rapids, MN to William and Martha Mueller. She attended the local schools and graduated from the Park Rapids High School with the Class of 1931. In May of 1935, she married John J. Vaegemast of Park Rapids. After John"s Army service in World War II, the couple moved to Greeley, Colorado in 1948. They owned and operated Peacock Cleaners until 1975. A lifelong hand weaver, LaMae was a founding member of the Northern Colorado Weavers Guild. She worked as a volunteer for twenty years at the Weld County Hospital (N.C.M.C).LaMae is survived by her daughter, Jane and son, Bill both of Greeley, Colorado; granddaughter, Sue Groshong of Seattle, WA; brother, Don and two sisters-in-law, Margo and Allene both of Minnesota.She was preceded in death by her husband, John; brother, Bud and sister, Ardelle.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Park Rapids, MN.
