ROBERT "BOB" L. DANKSFebruary 14, 1942 ~ October 12, 2012 Robert "Bob" LeRoy Danks, age 70 of Park Rapids, MN passed away suddenly on Friday, October 12, 2012. Bob was born on February 14, 1942 to James and Myrtle (Brissett) Danks. He spent much of his working career as a truck driver, which took him on many adventures all over the United States. Bob was a jack-of-all-trades. If you needed any help, he was the man to call. He enjoyed hunting with his friends and family and fishing with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. If you were looking for Bob, the Great Northern was the place to find him. He enjoyed sharing tales with anyone that would listen. Bob was a lifetime member of the American Hunting Club and an active member of the Park Rapids Antique Tractor Club. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his children: Ken Danks, LeRoy (Pam) Danks, Penny (Clifford) James, Kelly (John) Buckley, Delbert Pickett and Tammy (Greg) Beck; his brothers: Larry, David and Bruce; his sisters: Jan, Rox, Max and Vivian; his god children: Karmeen (Michael) James and Anita (Charlie) James; his grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many beloved friends. Bob was met in Heaven by his wife, Linda; his parents, James and Myrtle; sisters, Gracie and RoseMary; brothers, Harry and Clayton and his niece, Kimberly Farl. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN with Tim Wilson officiating. Special recorded music will be: "When I Get Where I"m Going", "Daddy"s Hands" and "Landslide". Honorary urnbearers will be: Cara, Trinidy, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Christopher, Madison, Paige, Destiny, Kailey, Gage and Gavin. Military Honors will be provided by Star of the North Marine Corps League. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
