GEORGE PETER WILLENBRINGMay 28, 1966 " April 8, 2013 George Peter Willenbring, age 46, a life long resident of the Osage-Ponsford, MN, area, passed away unexpectedly after suffering a massive heart attack at his home on Monday, April 8, 2013.George was born on May 28, 1966, to Tim and Mavis (Schmaus) Willenbring at St. Joseph"s Hospital in Park Rapids. He attended the Osage Elementary Public School through the 4th grade and then public school in Park Rapids. Following high school, George pursued his love for horses working as a trainer for a number of years. Later, his culinary talents were used in several area restaurants where he worked in various capacities. Throughout his life, George nurtured his love for horses, which he enjoyed owning and training. He is lovingly remembered by his dear friend, Ken Kudart of Osage; his parents, Tim and Marilyn Willenbring of Ponsford; his four sisters: Pat (Alan) Butler, Paula (Keith) Zitzow both of Rochert, MN, Joan Willenbring of Park Rapids and Jean (Mike) Coulson of Kohler, WI; seven nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.George was preceded in death by his mother, Mavis Willenbring in 1978.Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 13, 2013, at St. Mary"s Catholic Church of Two Inlets with Father Bob Morin celebrating. The organist will be Mary Schmitz and the St. Mary"s Choir will lead the music. The casket bearers will be Keith Zitzow, Alan Butler, Mike Coulson, Eric Zitzow, Tom Cooney and Jim Willenbring. Interment will be made in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery of Two Inlets. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Friday, April 12 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids and for one hour prior to the service at St. Mary"s Catholic Church in Two Inlets. Following the service, a luncheon will be hosted by the St. Mary"s Catholic Church.
