MARGARET ROUSUNovember 12, 1924 ~ April 26, 2013 Margaret Lucille Rousu, age 88 and 5 months of Park Rapids, Minnesota entered the presence of her Lord on April 26, 2013 in her home with her family at her side. Margaret was born on November 12, 1924 to Andrew and Hilda (Johnson) Andersen in Ruthven, Iowa. She attended primary school in the Hubbard Prairie and went on to graduate from the Park Rapids High School. Margaret married Ruben Rousu in July of 1946. Their marriage was blessed with 4 children: Becky, Roger, Linda and Dianne. Margaret graduated from St. Barnabus School of Nursing in St. Paul. After her graduation, she worked at Wesley Hospital in Wadena and delivered many babies. She also owned a used clothing store for over 37 years. She was an expert self-taught weaver who made beautiful rugs to sell or give them to the less fortunate. Margaret also played the accordion and clarinet by ear and collected many antiques. She enjoyed crocheting, attending Bible studies and keeping up on the news and world events. Margaret loved the Lord her whole life. She was a very simple and humble woman. She is survived by her children: Becky of Bemidji, MN, Roger of Shoshoni, WY, Linda of Bemidji, MN and Dianne of Rapid City, SD; grandchildren: Trevor Ogden, Jess Rousu, Joliene Rousu, Josh Rousu, Matthew Petersen, Kailee Ogden and Nickolas Ogden. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ruben. Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Hubbard Cemetery in Hubbard, MN.
