June 11, 1925 Helen Rose Hiltunen, age 87, a long time resident of St. Paul, MN, peacefully passed into eternal life on June 5, 2013 at the Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids, MN. Helen was born in St. Paul, MN to Emil and Rose Hiltunen on June 11, 1925. She grew up and attended public school in Grey Eagle, MN where she graduated from high school. As a young woman she ventured to St. Paul where she gained employment working as an office worker for the State Farm Insurance Company. Later she began a career that spanned over 30 years working as secretary for the Regional Manager of the General Motors Truck and Coach Company in St. Paul. Throughout her life time Helen was a devout Catholic and because of her faith was involved in volunteer work with Caring and Sharing Hands, Clara"s Closet and the Lumen Christie Catholic Community. In her spare time she enjoyed golf, bridge, traveling and was a loyal MN Twins Baseball fan. She will be lovingly remembered by her three sisters: Bonnie (Don) Callisto, Virginia (Dick) Lidstone and Emily Rangitsch; two brothers: Ronald (Jackie) Hiltunen and Donald (Bonnie) Hiltunen; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Darlene Healy and Gloria Mathre.
