Saturday, August 3, 2013 St. Marys Catholic Church, Two Inlets, MNVISITATION : 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the church one hour prior to servicesINTERMENT : St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Two Inlets, MNSURVIVORS : September 28, 1934 Loren Andrew Thelen, age 78 of Frazee, MN, formerly of Two Inlets, MN, peacefully passed into eternity on Monday evening, July 29, 2013 at the Frazee Care Center in Frazee, MN. Loren was born on September 28, 1934 in Savannah Township of Becker County, MN to Joe and Hortense (Woeste) Thelen. He spent his early boyhood years at home on the farm before moving to Cambridge, MN as a young man. Later, he became a resident of a group home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Loren enjoyed doing woodworking and built many beautiful crafts with his skillful hands at the Detroit Lakes Development Achievement Center. In 2006, Loren moved to Frazee where he was a resident at the Frazee Care Center. Loren had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing whenever he could wet a line. He was a cowboy at heart who enjoyed watching old westerns. Loren had a great sense of humor and enjoyed surrounding himself with his family and friends. Loren will be lovingly remembered by his 13 siblings: Marie Kueber of Two Inlets, Joseph (Barbara) Thelen of Missoula, MT, Frances Harris of Mesa, AZ, Patricia (Jim) Boyd of Osage, MN, Donna Anderson of Blaine, MN, Tom (Winnie) Thelen of Park Rapids, Robert (Cheryl) Thelen of Monticello, MN, Adeline (Gary Geller) Retz of Park Rapids, Norma Thelen of Mesa, AZ, Carol (Russell) Schwartz of Menahga, Christine (Duane) Kueber of Park Rapids, Victoria (Kirk) Dittner of Wabena, WI and Virginia (Glen) Anderson of Wauban, MN; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Catherine and Margaret; a niece, Susan Klarer and two nephews: Bryan Thelen and Thomas Kueber. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 3, 2013 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Two Inlets with Father Thomas Friedl and Father Xavier Ilango celebrating. The pianist will be Loren"s niece, Rachel Thelen. The mass music will be: "Be Not Afraid", "In The Garden", "Softly and Tenderly, Jesus Is Calling" and "Precious Lord, Take My Hand". The casket bearers will be nieces and nephews: William Retz, Rick Boyd, D.J. Kueber, Joe Kueber, Clyde Schwartz, Andy Thelen, Nick Kueber, Katie Kueber and Annette Senk. Interment will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery at Two Inlets. Visitation will be held beginning one hour prior to the service at the church. Following the service a luncheon will be hosted by the St Marys Catholic church.
