FUNERAL SERVICES :11:A.M. at St. Peter the Apostle Church, Park Rapids, MNVISITATION : 2:00 P.M. to 5 P.M. at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home with a Rosary at 4:30 P.M.INTERMENT : St. Peters Cemetery, Park Rapids, MN " Charles Anthony "Chuck" Robertson age 73, a long time Park Rapids, MN area resident, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids with his loved ones at his side. Chuck was born on June 22, 1940 in Tyler, MN to Chester and Eleanor (Jerzak) Robertson. As a small boy he moved with his parents to Park Rapids, MN. He attended the St. Peter Catholic School through the eighth grade and then went on to attend the Park Rapids High School from where he graduated in 1958. As a young man, Chuck worked for his dad at the Farmer"s Produce Exchange Feed Store in Park Rapids. He enjoyed working with the area farmers in mixing their feed rations, delivering feed and supplies to their farms and loading grains that they would purchase from the local farmers as well. The work was hard and physically demanding as Chuck would unload many a box car from the tracks that ran next to their mill. He was known for serving his farmer customers with a high level of integrity and friendliness. Chuck was united in marriage to Wilma Joyce Zick on October 5, 1974 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Park Rapids. This union was blessed with two children: Audra and Chad. In 1980, after his dad"s feed business was sold, Chuck began a 20 year career working as a custodian for the Park Rapids School District until his retirement in 2000. Chuck has been a long time member of St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved the out of doors and especially enjoyed fishing the area lakes. Through both the good and bad times, Chuck was an ardent MN Vikings and Twins fan. Above all, Chuck devoted his life to his wife, children and grandchildren who he loved with all his heart. Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Audra (Scott) Olson of Grand Rapids, MN; his son, Chad (Heidi) Robertson of Park Rapids; his three grandchildren: Kassidy and Ryan Olson and Caden Robertson; his mother, Eleanor Robertson of Park Rapids; his sister, Kaylene Weiser of Denver, CO; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Chuck was preceded in death by his precious wife, Wilma who died in 2010; his father and his grand daughter, Cierra Olson who died in 1999. Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 12, 2013 at the St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids with Father Thomas Friedl officiating. The Alleluia Choir will lead the music and Joy Horesji will play the organ. The honorary casket bearers will be Chuck"s grandchildren: Kassidy Olson, Ryan Olson, and Caden Robertson; and his nieces and nephew, Krista Price, Stacy Montgomery and Brian Watkins. Following the service a luncheon will be hosted by the St. Peters The Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will be next to his wife, Wilma at the St. Peters Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 11th at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids and for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
