FUNERAL SERVICES : Friday, September 13, 2013 at 12:30 P.M. at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home, Park Rapids, MNVISITATION : Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MNINTERMENT : Greenwood Cemetery, Park Rapids, MN Beatrice Murphy November 20, 1930-September 11, 2013 at in Park Rapids. She was born in , to Coleman and Elsie (Luense) Love. It was in that Bea attended public schools, graduating from with the class of 1948. As a young woman, Bea ventured to , where she gained employment working for the State of in the Motor Vehicle Registration Department. She later traveled to , where she also worked for the state. On she was united in marriage to Richard Murphy in . This union was blessed with two sons: Richard and Coleman. Bea devoted her life to making a warm and loving home for her sons. She was a wonderful cook and baker who will be long remembered for her delicious home cooking. In addition to caring for her children, Bea had an interesting professional career. In 1958, she moved with her boys to , , where she worked as a chief switchboard operator for the in a career that spanned 22 years. In 1980 she moved to , where she worked for the Georgia Bureau of Investigations until her retirement in 1992, due to health problems. In 1996, Bea and her son, Coleman returned to their northern roots and settled in Park Rapids, where she lived the rest of her life. Bea devoted her life to her sons and to her grandchildren and great grandchildren of whom she loved with all her heart. , , grandchildren Christopher Charles Murphy and Ryann Elizabeth Sharpe, great-grandson Tristin Gabriel, numerous nieces and nephews as well as many other relatives and friends. 12:30 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 Greenwood Cemetery 5:00 7:00 p.m.
