BEVERLEY ANN HOSTETLER May 11, 1921 - August 1, 2014 Beverley Ann Hostetler, age 93, entered eternity peacefully at the Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga, MN on Friday, August 1, 2014. Beverley was born on May 11, 1921 in Norwood, MN to Richard and Mathilla (Baden) Daehn. As a small girl she moved with her family to Minneapolis, MN where she attended school through the fourth grade. In 1931, she moved with her family to Hutchinson, MN where she completed her education and grew into womanhood. As a girl, of only 13 Beverley lost her mother and assumed all the responsibility of homemaking and caring for her younger brothers and sisters. On November 2, 1940, Beverley was united in marriage to Verl Robert Hostetler in Glencoe, MN. This union was blessed with five children: Errol, Verl, Sandra, Sonja, and Dwayne. The young family made their home in Hutchinson where Beverley devoted herself to making a warm loving home for her husband and children. She was a wonderful cook and baker who will long be remembered for her delicious meals. The family then moved to Corvuso, MN in Meeker County where they farmed for a time. In 1950, they moved to Bloomington, MN, and in 1962, they purchased the Cozy Nook Resort on Big Sand Lake north of Park Rapids, MN. In 1965, Beverley began working at the Dorset School as a cook. In 1970 she was transferred to the Park Rapids Middle School where she was a baker. In 1979, they sold the resort and purchased a home in Park Rapids where Beverley made her home until June of 2004 at which time she moved in with her son Errol at his home on Sixth Crow Wing Lake in Nevis township. On April 4, 1995, Beverley lost her precious husband Verl. Beverley enjoyed embroidering and made numerous gifts for her family. Beverley will be loving remembered by her four children: Errol Hostetler of Nevis, MN; Verl Hostetler of Burnsville, MN; Sonja (Bucky) Boeringer of Park Rapids, MN; and Dwayne (Jane) Hostetler of Melrose, MN; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister: Donna Krueger of Hutchinson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Duane and Richard, three sisters: Colleen, Sharon, and Jane; her husband Verl and one daughter, Sandra who died in 1952. Interment will be made at the Bloomington Cemetery in Bloomington, MN. Graveside services will be held for Beverley at a later date.
